Russian Armed Forces deliver 40 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Kharkov region

Passerby, volunteers, housing and utilities workers and students helped unloading 40 tonnes of food

TASS, May 6. Russian servicemen delivered 40 tonnes of humanitarian aid to residents of the Kharkov region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Friday.

"Accompanied by the military police of the Russian Armed Forces, 40 tonnes of this humanitarian aid were delivered on trucks to the civilians of the region," the ministry said.

According to the director of the social services center, the delivered humanitarian aid will be divided into three categories and will be distributed on the street. "We will try to distribute this humanitarian aid on the streets. And we will divide it into three categories. Pensioners will receive it in one place, the working and the unemployed will get it in another place; children, the disabled and refugees will receive it in a third place," she noted.

Passerby, volunteers, housing and utilities workers and students helped unloading 40 tonnes of food. "We saw that our citizens needed help with unloading, so we decided to help. It's important. Some people don't have enough food due to the difficult situation, and here's the humanitarian aid," a local resident said.
