Russia lists writer Boris Akunin as foreign agents

MOSCOW, January 12. /TASS/. Writer Boris Akunin, who was put on the list of terrorists and extremists last year, has now also been listed as a foreign agent, according to the Russian Justice Ministry.

The writer, whose real name is Grigory Chkhartishvili and who resides outside Russia, has spoken against the special military operation in Ukraine and disseminated false information designed to smear Russia and its armed forces, the ministry said in a statement. He also helped raise money for the Ukrainian military, create and spread materials by foreign agents, according to the statement.
