MOSCOW, January 30. /TASS/. Russia’s coronavirus cases grew by 19,032 in the past 24 hours, the total number of infected people has reached 3,832,080, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Saturday.
According to the crisis center, the growth rate stands at 0.5%.
The lowest daily growth rates were recorded in the Tuva region (0.1%), the Yamalo-Nenets autonomous region, the Jewish autonomous region (0.2% each), Moscow, the Magadan Region, Ingushetia, Khakassia, the Kostroma Region, Chechnya, the Kemerovo Region and the Tomsk Region (0.3% each).
Another 2,512 cases were confirmed in St. Petersburg, 1,069 in the Moscow Region, 472 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, while the Voronezh and Rostov regions reported 376 daily cases each.
At present, 479,419 people in Russia continue treatment.
Recoveries
Russia’s coronavirus recoveries grew by 24,502 in the past 24 hours reaching 3,279,964.
Recoveries exceed the number of new cases for the fifth day in a row.
According to the crisis center, recoveries have risen to 85.6% of the total number of infected individuals.
Another 3,409 patients recovered in St. Petersburg, 1,009 in the Moscow Region, 497 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 470 in the Chelyabinsk Region and 428 in the Rostov Region.
Deaths
The number of coronavirus deaths in Russia grew by 512 in the past 24 hours compared to 534 fatalities reported a day earlier. A total of 72,697 patients have died by now.
The conditional mortality rate has reached 1.9%, as follows from the data provided by the crisis center.
Another 64 deaths were recorded in St. Petersburg, 35 in the Moscow Region, 23 in the Krasnoyarsk Region, 20 in the Voronezh Region and 19 in the Krasnodar Region.
Moscow
Another 2,430 coronavirus cases were confirmed in Moscow in the past 24 hours. A total of 927,788 people in the Russian capital have been infected so far.
According to the crisis center, the growth rate stands at 0.26%. A day earlier, 2,799 new cases were confirmed.
Sixty-eight coronavirus patients died in the past 24 hours, with 13,368 fatalities recorded to date.
