Ukrainian attacks killed 25 Russians during Zelensky’s 'pseudo-ceasefire' — Russian MFA

Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova added that 209 people were injured

MOSCOW, May 15. /TASS/. Twenty-five Russian civilians have lost their lives to attacks by the Ukrainian armed forces during the ceasefire declared by Russia and the "pseudo-ceasefire" declared by Vladimir Zelensky, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.

"As a result of Ukrainian bombardments and drone strikes during the ceasefire introduced by Russia and the pseudo-ceasefire declared by Zelensky on May 5, which the Ukrainian forces also failed to observe, 25 Russian civilians, including one child, were killed, and 209 people, including 14 children, were wounded," she stated.

As Zakharova noted, Russia is aware of the Kiev regime's attempts to disrupt celebratory events in other countries through foreign provocateurs, primarily the Ukrainian World Congress. "For these purposes, propaganda cliches were used, claiming that Moscow had allegedly monopolized the Victory, was continuing its 'war of conquest,' and was 'terrorizing the population of the occupied territories.' Attempts were made to deny the grassroots nature of the Immortal Regiment march. It was claimed that it was 'orchestrated from above' and 'aimed at undermining the foundations of global security,' and that photographs depicting Red Army soldiers and home front workers were actually generated by artificial intelligence," she noted.

"This disinformation frenzy was accompanied by demands from Ukrainian migrants to the leadership of their countries of residence to ban commemorative events under the hypocritical pretext of preventing the incitement of interethnic conflicts and reducing social tensions," Zakharova explained.

She emphasized that all of Kiev's neo-Nazi aspirations have failed. "Residents of foreign countries who sacredly honor the feat of our victorious grandfathers have demonstrated their loyalty to historical memory and rejection of Nazism in its modern manifestations. Today's Banderites and their patrons will not succeed in erasing the true history of the Great Victory," Zakharova continued. "We sincerely admire the courage of all who paid their sacred debt to the memory of the liberators of our common Fatherland and Europe from the Nazi invaders.".
