MOSCOW, March 18. /TASS/. The Russian Emergencies Ministry's bomb disposal experts have defused over 2,000 explosive devices in the Kursk Region, the ministry said in a statement.
"The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s bomb disposal squad destroyed the warhead of an unmanned aerial vehicle in one of the Kursk Region’s districts yesterday. The ministry’s bomb disposal experts have so far defused more than 2,000 explosive devices in the Kursk Region, including air bombs, various rockets, and drones," the statement reads.
According to the ministry, its personnel most often respond to reports of the discovery of submunitions and enemy drones. They are defused in controlled explosions, and all safety requirements are taken into consideration.
"The Russian Emergencies Ministry would like to point out that it is strictly prohibited to come close to suspicious discoveries. They should be reported to the emergency service by calling the telephone number 112. All bomb disposal work in the Kursk Region is being conducted as part of the ongoing counterterrorism operation," the statement adds.
