Top Russian diplomat gives high marks to level of political dialogue with Kyrgyzstan

MOSCOW, January 22. /TASS/. Political dialogue between Moscow and Bishkek is characterized by a high level of trust and develops progressively, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, opening talks with his Kyrgyz counterpart Jeenbek Kulubayev.

"We have both reaffirmed (I want to emphasize this again) our satisfaction with the progressive development of bilateral political dialogue. It is characterized by a high level of trust. Regular meetings between the presidents of Russia and the Kyrgyz Republic create a solid foundation for the advancement of bilateral cooperation across the board," the top Russian diplomat said.

The Russian foreign minister noted that the sides are constantly in touch at the level of governments as well. "In 2024, the prime ministers of our countries met five times. On October 19·21, 2024, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov paid an official visit to Russia," Lavrov pointed out, adding that Days of Kyrgyz Culture in Russia were held within the framework of this visit.
