WASHINGTON, April 11. /TASS/. Russian military victories illustrate that Washington has lost its "war to the last Ukrainian," trying to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov said, answering to a media question.

"The convincing victories of the Russian Armed Forces at the battlefield confirm that the US have lost the war to the last Ukrainian,’ trying to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia," he said.

"It is not surprising that in a series of hearings at the Capitol Hill, demands are increasingly being made to explain to ordinary citizens how spending 80 thousand US dollars per second, which brings death and suffering, helps taxpayers," the Russian diplomat added.
