Russia welcomes extension of humanitarian truce between Palestine, Israel — diplomat

"As we welcome the two sides’ decision to extend the humanitarian pause, we expect them to continue maintaining an effective dialogue toward de-escalating the situation further while looking for ways to put de-escalation on a long-term sustainable track," Maria Zakharova said

MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. Moscow welcomes the decision extending the humanitarian truce between Palestine and Israel as it expects the two countries to continue dialogue, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a news briefing.

"As we welcome the [two] sides’ decision to extend the humanitarian pause, we expect them to continue maintaining an effective dialogue toward de-escalating the situation further while looking for ways to put it (de-escalation - TASS) on a long-term sustainable track," the Russian diplomat said.

Russia continues making efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Zakharova added. According to her, on November 21, 23 and 25, Russian Emergencies Ministry flights delivered more food and medicines to Egypt for needy Palestinians. "In all, we have sent more than 300 metric tons of humanitarian cargo to the population of the enclave since the crisis broke out," Zakharova concluded.
