Intensity of Ukrainian shelling falls amid ammo shortage, says Russian commander

"While previously, the Ukrainian troops pounded us with uninterrupted fire, there is a perception now that they are running out of munitions," Apty Alaudinov noted

MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. The intensity of Ukrainian shelling along the line of engagement has reduced of late as Ukraine has been running out of munitions, Apty Alaudinov, commander of the Akhmat special forces unit, told Rossiya-1 television.

"Certainly, we have been registering that they [Ukrainian troops] are having increasingly fewer shells. While previously, <...> they pounded us with uninterrupted fire, there is a perception now that they are running out of munitions," he said.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that the European Union will not be able to supply 1 mln artillery shells to Kiev by March 2024, as planned, due to the flagging defense industry and bureaucratic hurdles.
