MOSCOW, October 25. /TASS/. Russian air defense forces intercepted seven HIMARS and Smerch rockets and shot down three American HARM anti-radar missiles in the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Tuesday.
"Seven rockets of HIMARS and Smerch multiple launch rocket systems were shot down in the areas of the settlements of Klapaya, Otradokamenka and Vesyoloye in the Kherson Region and Kolomiychikha in the Lugansk People’s Republic along with three American HARM anti-radar missiles in the areas of the communities of Petrovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic and Antonovka in the Kherson Region," the spokesman said.
Russian air defense systems also destroyed 13 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the areas of the settlements of Oborotnovka, Kalinovka and Vladimirovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Kolodeznoye in the Kharkov Region, Sadok, Aleksandrovka, Krinichanka and Kucherskoye in the Kherson Region and Energodar in the Zaporozhye Region, the general added.
Russian troops repelled all the Ukrainian army’s attacks in the Nikolayev-Krivoi Rog area in the past day, eliminating up to 130 militants, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Nikolayev-Krivoi Rog direction, the enemy’s two company tactical groups unsuccessfully attacked the positions of our troops in the areas of the settlements of Ishchenka and Bruskinskoye in the Kherson Region. All the attacks were repelled," the spokesman said.
In the past 24 hours, Russian forces eliminated up to 130 Ukrainian troops, 3 tanks, 9 combat armored vehicles and 11 motor vehicles in that direction, the general specified.
Russian forces eliminated over 120 Ukrainian troops and three tanks during active operations in the Krasny Liman area in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, over 120 Ukrainian troops, three tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, one armored personnel carrier, three pickup trucks and one motor vehicle were eliminated as a result of active operations by Russian troops," the spokesman said.
Russian artillery inflicted damage on Ukrainian troops who attempted to attack the positions of Russian troops near Kuzyomovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, eliminating over 30 militants, Konashenkov reported.
A Ukrainian battalion tactical group attacked the positions of Russian troops on a narrow front in the area of Kuzyomovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic in the Kupyansk direction, the spokesman said.
"Russian artillery inflicted damage on the Ukrainian army’s units by firepower, pushing the enemy back to initial positions," the general said.
Russian forces destroyed Ukrainian troops and military hardware in that area, he said.
"Over 30 Ukrainian troops, one tank, three combat armored vehicles and two pickup trucks were destroyed," Konashenkov reported.
Russian forces destroyed two Ukrainian arms and ammunition depots in the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Nikolayev Region in the past day, the spokesman said.
"Two arms and ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army were destroyed in the areas of the settlements of Ugledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Zelyony Gai in the Nikolayev Region," the spokesman said.
Russian operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft, missile and artillery troops hit four Ukrainian army command posts in the areas of the settlements of Novoye and Dvurechnaya in the Kharkov Region, Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Olenovka in the Nikolayev Region, the general specified.
Russian troops also destroyed a Ukrainian helipad near the community of Aleksandrovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, 68 artillery units at firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 182 areas, Konashenkov reported.
Russian combat aircraft shot down a MiG-29 fighter jet of the Ukrainian Air Force in the Nikolayev Region, the spokesman said.
"Operational-tactical aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a MiG-29 fighter of the Ukrainian Air Force in the area of the settlement of Kaluga in the Nikolayev Region," the spokesman said.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 326 Ukrainian combat aircraft, 162 helicopters, 2,339 unmanned aerial vehicles, 383 surface-to-air missile systems, 6,046 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 874 multiple rocket launchers, 3,525 field artillery guns and mortars and 6,758 special military motor vehicles since the beginning of their special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov reported.
