MOSCOW, October 18. /TASS/. Russia and Kazakhstan, together with their neighbors in the region, are making efforts to prevent any possible spillover of instability from Afghanistan, Alexey Borodavkin, Russian ambassador to Astana, said in an article that was published in the International Affairs journal on Tuesday.
"Together with our neighbors in the region, our countries keep a tight line in the face of the possibility of a potential spillover of instability from the territory of Afghanistan," he stated.
The ambassador noted that tensions in Afghanistan had flared up with renewed vigor after the forces of the US and its allies shamefully fled the country.
"Adding fuel to the fire are the attempts of the collective West to absolve itself of any responsibility for rebuilding Afghanistan’s shattered statehood, driving this internally conflict-torn country into the abyss of terrorist chaos," Borodavkin said.
