New EU sanctions evidence global market destabilization course — Russian Foreign Ministry

It is noted that on October 6, the European Union introduced the eighth package of economic and individual sanctions against Russia

MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. The next package of EU sanctions against Russia evidences the deliberate course of the European Union for destabilization of internal energy and food markets, official spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said on Friday.

"The latest actions of Brussels against our country (this is the eighth anti-Russian sanctions package as early as from February) demonstrate the deliberate course of the European Union for continuing destabilization of international energy and food markets and provoking further price growth for energy resources and foodstuffs and their shortage in individual particularly vulnerable regions," the diplomat said.

On October 6, the European Union introduced the eighth package of economic and individual sanctions against Russia, comprising the price cap for Russian oil, trade restrictive measures amounting to 7 bln euro, and restrictive measures against thirty Russian individuals and seven legal entities.
