Investigative to examine Zelenky’s claims of preparation for war with Russia

In the interview, the Ukrainian president said that Ukraine planned for war with Russia in advance and achieved concrete agreements with allies on financial aid, shipment of weapons and equipment

MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. The Russian Investigative Committee will check Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s claim of Ukraine’s preparation for war with Russia and, should the claim be confirmed, will open a criminal case, the Committee’s press office told reporters Friday.

"Investigative Committee chairman Alexander Bastrykin ordered to examine the information voiced in Vladimir Zelensky’s interview, published in a Western media, about Ukraine’s preparation for war with Russia. The investigation will analyze the mentioned material and accompanying actions for presence of signs of legally punishable deed," the press office said.

The Committee noted that, should this information be confirmed, the Committee will decide on opening a criminal case over the fact of planning and preparation of aggressive war.
