11 people taken to hospital after oil tanker wreck in Black Sea — health ministry

MOSCOW, December 15. /TASS/. Eleven people who were hurt in an oil taker wreck in the Black Sea have been taken to a hospital in the city of Anapa, two of them are in grave conditions, Alexey Kuznetsov, an aide to the Russian health minister, said.

"Eleven people were taken to Anapa’s city hospital after the oil tanker wreck in the Black Sea. Two of them are in serious condition," he said, adding that the rest are in condition of medium gravity.

"The patients are receiving necessary medical assistance," he noted.

According to earlier reports, two oil tankers, Volgoneft 212 and Volgoneft 239, were damaged in a storm in the Kerch Strain in the Black Sea. One vessel ran aground, its crew was evacuated. One of the 13 crew members died. The damage caused an oil spill emergency. Two criminal probes have been launched.
