Bilateral contacts have recently become more active, the expert said. "Not a single St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is without a large Russian-Japanese roundtable. Contacts with Japan actually turned into a separate sub-block at the EEF," Repik said.
"The EEF will become an important standing floor for the dialog between Russia and Japan. The EEF will be a systemic opening event after the summer season. I consider it successfully fits the business calendar, both Russian and international," the expert said.
The second Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok was held this year on September 2-3.
