WASHINGTON, March 4. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump has decided to double tariffs on Chinese imports from 10% to 20%.
According to the executive order published on the White House website, this measure was taken because China has not taken any steps to restrict fentanyl supplies to the US.
"I have determined that the PRC has not taken adequate steps to alleviate the illicit drug crisis through cooperative enforcement actions, and that the crisis described in Executive Order 14195 has not abated," the document reads. The text of the aforementioned order was amended, introducing the tariffs of 20%.
