MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. Gazprom Neft transferred the 5.15% stake in NIS to Gazprom, the Serbian company said in its statement posted on the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
The stake held by Gazprom Neft in NIS dropped from 50% to 44.85% and the stake of Gazprom increased from 6.15% to 11.3%.
Serbia holds 29.87% in the company and the remaining stake belongs to minority stockholders.
In early January 2025, the US Treasury imposed sanctions on Gazprom Neft, its chief executive Alexander Dyukov, and on NIS. On February 4, NIS sent a request for postponement of sanctions for at least ninety days to the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Treasury Department.
NIS is one of the largest vertically integrated energy companies in Southeastern Europe.
