MOSCOW, February 13. /TASS/. The Russian government will allocate around 2.5 bln rubles ($27.47 mln) to agricultural producers from the Kursk region who lost their property, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced at a government meeting.
"Entrepreneurs in this region have suffered serious damage: according to preliminary estimates, 20 agricultural producers operating in the region have been recognized as victims. The government will send them 2.5 bln rubles. This subsidy will help compensate for the damage caused by the loss of livestock and commercial fish farming facilities," the Prime Minister said.
He drew the attention of the Ministry of Agriculture to the fact that the funds should be sent to the affected farmers as soon as possible. "Despite the complexity of the situation in the region, people continue to work there and try to preserve their farms. Of course, we have to help them," Mishustin concluded.
