Avtovaz sales rise by almost 20% to 27,800 cars in February

It is reported that sales of Lada passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia reached 27,888 cars, which is 33.9% higher than in January 2024

MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. Sales of Avtovaz in Russia in February 2024 increased by 19% compared to February last year and reached 27,800 cars, the company said on Monday.

In January - February, Avtovaz sold 48,700 new cars, which is 19.1% higher than the figure for the same period in 2023.

"At the end of February 2024, sales of Lada passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia reached 27,888 cars, which is 33.9% higher than in January 2024 and 19% higher compared to February 2023," the company said.

Lada Granta was the most popular car at the end of the reporting period, with 12,798 cars sold in February, 33.9% more than in January. The Lada Vesta family saw the highest increase in sales - 6,819 cars were sold in February 2024, up 42.4% from January 2024. Also in February 2024, more than 3,900 Niva Legend SUVs were sold, a 24.3% increase over January 2024. Niva Travel sold around 3,900 cars, exceeding the January figure of this year by 26.1%. Sales of LCV class models also increased, totaling 455 vehicles, 78.4% higher than in January.
