MOSCOW, December 27. /TASS/. Russia expects that the export of oil and petroleum products to Europe will account for no more than 4% to 5% of total supplies in 2023, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said in an interview with Rossiya-24 television.
"Previously, we supplied a total of 40% to 45% of oil and petroleum products to Europe, and this year, we expect the figure not to exceed 4% or 5% of total exports," he said.
According to Novak, in the current circumstances, China and India became Russia’s major partners instead, with China’s share amounting to 45% to 50%. "There were virtually no exports to India before. Over the past two years, the total share of exports to India increased to about 40%," he added.
