TBILISI, December 25. /TASS/. Liquefied gas supplies from Russia to Georgia increased by 32% in January-November 2023 year-on-year, the Union of Georgian Importers of Petroleum Products reported.
"In January-November 2023, imports of liquified gas amounted to 51,500 tons, which is 12,500 tons, or 32%, higher than in the same period last year," the report said.
Supplies from Russia accounted for 99.6% of all liquefied gas imported by Georgia, or 51,300 tons, according to the report.
Moreover, oil bitumen imports rose by 7.8% in the first 11 months of 2023 year-on-year to 113,100 tons, the Union said. The largest share of bitumen of 46.7% was delivered from Russia. Iraq came in second with 36.2%, followed by Turkey (15.2%), Azerbaijan (1.6%), and Turkmenistan (0.1%).
