MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. At 3:00 p.m. Moscow time, Transneft began feeding 20,000 tons of Kazakh oil to Poland, where it will be rerouted to Germany, official representative of Transneft Igor Dyomin told TASS.

"At 15:00 Moscow time, we started pumping Kazakh oil volumes in the direction of Adamowo-Zastawa in transit through Poland and further to Germany," he said.

Earlier on Monday, KazTransOil, the national oil transporter of Kazakhstan, shipped the first batch of oil in the amount of 20,000 tons for delivery to Germany.

In December 2022, KazTransOil sent an annual request for the transportation of 1.2 million tons of Kazakh oil in 2023. The operator planned to transport it through the system of Transneft oil pipelines to the Adamowo Zastawa delivery point in Poland for further delivery to Germany. As an official with the company explained, the transit of oil will be carried out as part of the relevant agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Russia.

As Dyomin reported earlier, Transneft was ready to start transiting 20,000 tons of Kazakh oil via Druzhba to Germany already in late January.
