MOSCOW, January 31. /TASS/. Russia will be able to independently control all oil supply chain stages up to end consumers after the introduction of price cap on oil and petroleum products, Vyacheslav Mishchenko, head of the Center for Strategy and Technology Analysis for the Development of the Fuel and Energy Complex of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, told TASS.
On Monday, the Russian government adopted a decree requiring Russian companies exporting oil and petroleum products to monitor the non-application of the price cap on all supply chain stages up to the end consumer. This decision followed the presidential decree banning oil supplies to countries who had introduced the price cap.
Mishchenko stressed that the measures taken would allow Russia to successfully overcome the restrictions and redirect logistics flows to other markets. "Russia must actively engage in reformatting the flows of energy resources, logistics and financial chains. Then, the country will be able to independently control the supply of oil through all chains, including direct delivery," he said.
