Russian LNG supplies could grow substantially for China — Gazprom

Elena Burmistrova also highlighted Gazprom's ethane-containing gas processing project in Ust-Luga, which involves gas fractionation, gas chemistry and large-capacity LN production as a promising export project, including for deliveries to the Asia-Pacific

MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies from the Sakhalin-2 and Ust-Luga projects could become significant energy resources for Chinese consumers, Deputy CEO of Gazprom and CEO of Gazprom Export Elena Burmistrova said at the 4th Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum.

"Gazprom continues to implement the Sakhalin-2 project, which is starting to play an increasingly important role in supplies of crude oil and LNG to Chinese consumers. We welcome such a development of cooperation," the top manager said.

Burmistrova also highlighted Gazprom's ethane-containing gas processing project in Ust-Luga, which involves gas fractionation, gas chemistry and large-capacity LN production as a promising export project, including for deliveries to the Asia-Pacific.

"LNG from this project could also become an important energy resource for Chinese consumers," she added.
