China International Consumer Products Expo concludes in Hainan

According to organizers, more than 2,800 brands participated in this year's expo, including 1,643 foreign brands and about 1,200 Chinese brands

HAIKOU /China/, July 30. /TASS/. The 2nd China International Consumer Products Expo, which took place from July 25 to 30 in Haikou (Hainan province, South China), closed on Saturday. According to the organizers, there were 1,955 companies from 61 countries and regions around the world.

The opening ceremony of the business program took place on July 25. The exhibition itself began to receive visitors on Tuesday, it was open only for the representatives of the business community and mass media until July 28. On July 29-30, the exhibition was open to the general public.

According to the organizers, more than 2.8 thousand brands, including 1,643 foreign and about 1.2 thousand Chinese brands took part in this year's expo. The exhibition was visited by more than 280,000 people, including more than 40,000 representatives of business as well as professional buyers. The event was covered by more than 1.2 thousand journalists from 160 Chinese and foreign media.

The 2nd International Yacht Show took place on the sidelines of the exhibition in Haikou. The total exhibition area was about 180 thousand square meters. More than 200 yachts of 50 Chinese and foreign brands from 12 countries and regions participated in the show. According to the organizers, the number of yachts participating in this year's show increased by 89%.

The International Fashion Week was held for the first time on the margins of the consumer fair. Ten designers from China, USA and France presented their collections. In addition to fashion shows, the fashion week featured a showroom featuring products from 18 Chinese and foreign brands.

The 1st China International Consumer Products Expo was held on May 7-10, 2021 at the Hainan International Exhibition Center in Haikou, with representatives from 70 countries and regions, over 2,600 premium brands and more than 1,500 companies participating. The event attracted about 240 thousand visitors.
