DONETSK, February 27. /TASS/. Units of the Battlegroup East are developing an offensive in the southern Donetsk direction, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"In the southern Donetsk direction, the pace of our troops' advance is steadily increasing. Motorized rifle and tank units are leveling the front in the section of Novoocheretovatoye - Novosyolka and are developing an offensive to the north towards Dneproenergiya," the defense ministry reported.

On February 24, Vladimir Rogov, Chairman of the Commission on Sovereignty, Patriotic Projects and Support for Veterans of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, told TASS that Russian forces had completed clearing Novoocheretovaty near the border of the DPR and Zaporozhye Region of Ukrainian armed forces servicemen and had advanced toward the settlements of Skudnoye and Dneproenergiya.
