Russia displays Pantsir-SMD-E ADS at Vietnam show

The latest Pantsir-SMD-E detects and destroys aerial targets at medium and short distances and assesses fire effectiveness in an automatic regime

MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. High Precision Complexes Holding said it had for the first time displayed abroad Pantsir-SMD-E air defense launcher at Vietnam Defense Expo in Hanoi.

"The exhibits for the first time demonstrate Pantsir-SMD-E antiaircraft missile complex that defends industrial and administrative objects against massive drone attacks," it said.

The latest Pantsir-SMD-E detects and destroys aerial targets at medium and short distances and assesses fire effectiveness in an automatic regime. The complex is armed with mini missiles. In contrast to Pantsir-S1, Pantsir-SMD-E has no gun. The producer said it was designed to defend military, administrative and industrial objects against massive air strikes.
