MOSCOW, December 16. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army has been forced to switch to the defensive and tap the remaining reserves, Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov said at the Defense Ministry’s annual board meeting.
"The enemy has been forced to assume the defensive and tap the remaining reserves. The staffing level of its frontline units does not exceed 45-50%. This is a great achievement of soldiers and officers from our United Group of Forces, battlegroup commanders, military management bodies and the General Staff," he pointed out.
Belousov particularly praised the combat achievements of the 1st Tank, Second, Fifth, Eighth, 29th and 51st combined arms armies, the 706th Air Assault Division, the 98th and 106th airborne divisions, the 155th and 89th marine brigades.
