Rosoboronexport's aircraft contracts worth over $22 bln — CEO

The company will fine-tune production to satisfy orders from foreign partners, "first of all, orders from the Ministry of Defense and state defense contract," Alexander Mikheyev stressed

DUBAI, November 15. /TASS/. Russia’s state arms seller Rosoboronexport has aircraft contracts worth in excess of $22 billion, the company’s CEO Alexander Mikheyev told TASS on the sidelines of the International Aerospace Exhibition Dubai Airshow 2023.

"Today, Rosoboronexport’s total order portfolio for aircraft supplies exceeds $22 billion," he said.

"Contracts for the supply of combat and military transport aircraft have been concluded with 14 countries for a total amount of about $13 billion. The value of contracts for the supply of combat helicopters exceeds $5 billion. These deliveries will be carried out to 18 countries. As for aircraft engines, their supplies have been contracted to 14 countries for a total amount of $4 billion," he added.

Earlier, the head of Rosoboronexport said that the portfolio of contracts concluded as part of military-defense cooperation between Russia and foreign partners has already exceeded $50 billion. However, demand from foreign parties exceeds what the Russian military-industrial complex can currently produce, he noted. The company will fine-tune production to satisfy orders from foreign partners, "first of all, orders from the Ministry of Defense and state defense contract," Mikheyev stressed.

The Dubai Airshow is one of the largest international aerospace exhibitions. The event is held every two years. Russia first took part in 1993. This year, the air show features 20 national pavilions. Over 1,400 manufacturers are putting their products on display, showing off more than 180 aircraft. The exhibition runs from November 13 to 17.
