VLADIVOSTOK, February 16. /TASS/. The Admiral Tributs large anti-submarine ship and missile boats of Russia’s Pacific Fleet carried out artillery shelling in the Peter the Great Gulf in the Sea of Japan, the Fleet’s press service said on Tuesday.

"In the Peter the Great Gulf the crew of the Admiral Tributs large anti-submarine ship conducted artillery shelling on coastal, air and maritime targets, practicing exercises on installing electronic jamming, carrying out drills on ship damage control, narrow passage and sailing in low visibility conditions," according to the statement.

Three missile boats of the Primorsky flotilla of all-arms forces also performed practical tasks at sea, each in its own sector of the firing ground.

The Tu-142 and Il-38 anti-submarine planes provided the escort. The boats carried out drills on air defense, conducting artillery fire on a dropped parachute target. The vessels used the AK-176 naval guns against a maritime shield, simulating a surface target of the conditional enemy.
