BERLIN, May 29. /TASS/. Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi will travel to Russia and Ukraine next week for consultations on nuclear safety.
According to the agency's press service, Grossi "will visit Kiev and Russia next week as part of his regular contacts with both sides to ensure nuclear safety during the conflict."
The day before, Grossi said that he intended to visit Ukraine and, possibly, Russia "in the coming days."
On May 8, Rosatom Head Alexey Likhachev said that the IAEA mission to the Zaporozhye nuclear power station was contributing to maintaining safety at the plant. He said that "of all the specialized UN organizations, it is the IAEA that has maintained a technological, non-politicized approach in the most difficult conditions of the last three years.".
