NEW YORK, April 3. /TASS/. US entrepreneur Elon Musk, who oversees the work of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), dismissed as "fake news" media reports that his political role will soon diminish.

Previously, the Politico newspaper reported that US President Donald Trump has told his team that the political role played by businessman will diminish in the coming weeks. "Yeah, fake news," Musk wrote, commenting on White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s remark that the publication was "garbage."

Leavitt added that Musk would "depart from public service as a special government employee when his incredible work at DOGE is complete."

The US president admitted in late March that Musk would return to his business at some point. At the same time, Trump assured that he intends to keep Musk in power as long as possible.
