IDF reports elimination of six radicals in northern Gaza Strip

The terrorists who were struck were operating a drone designed to carry out terrorist attacks against IDF troops, army press service

TEL AVIV, March 16. /TASS/. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) destroyed six militants of the radical Palestinian groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad, who were operating in the Beit Lahia area in the northern Gaza Strip, the army press service reported.

"Yesterday (Saturday), the Israeli Air Force struck a terrorist cell in the Beit Lahia area <...>. The terrorists who were struck were operating a drone designed to carry out terrorist attacks against IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip," the report said.

"Based on intelligence on terrorist activity in the area, it can be determined that the drone was in constant use by the terrorist organization Islamic Jihad," the press service added.
