OTTAWA, March 3. /TASS/. The Espanola volunteer brigade, along with PMC Redut and several other military units, has been added to Canada's anti-Russian sanctions list. This expansion was announced by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on March 2. The relevant documents have been made available on the Canadian government's website.
Among those sanctioned is the paramilitary organization known as the African Corps, which is allegedly linked to Russia. The list also includes individuals such as Andrey Averyanov, Konstantin Mirzoyants, Stanislav Orlov, and Vitaly Yermolaev; however, Ottawa has not disclosed their specific positions. Previously, Britain also imposed restrictions on these individuals, citing their alleged connections to private military companies and their involvement in activities aimed at "destabilizing Ukraine."
On March 2, Trudeau announced that Ottawa had added 10 more individuals and 21 organizations to its anti-Russian sanctions list. He noted that these included paramilitary organizations and their leaders, although the detailed lists were not released that day.
