Global security requires taking all countries’ interests into account — Moscow-led bloc

"True security should be equal and indivisible, based on the interests of all countries, the principles of international law and constructive cooperation," the statement reads

ASTANA, November 28. /TASS/. It’s only possible to build true global security based on the interests of all countries, the leaders of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states said in a joint statement dedicated to the upcoming 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

"Bearing in mind the tragic lessons of those years, we are convinced of the need for collective work to search for responses to numerous challenges of our time and prevent new conflicts of global scale. True security should be equal and indivisible, based on the interests of all countries, the principles of international law and constructive cooperation," the statement reads.

The CSTO leaders also pointed out that there was no alternative to establishing a sustainable, multipolar world order based on the world's cultural and civilisational diversity, the natural right of nations to determine their own paths and models of development, and the implementation of the principle of the sovereign equality of states, the most important principle enshrined in the United Nations Charter.
