Islamic Jihad militants shell Jewish settlements on border with Gaza

The resistance forces carried out this attack in response to the massacres of civilians that the occupation regime continues to commit. Several volleys of rocket launchers were fired at enemy targets

BEIRUT, April 13. /TASS/. Members of the Saraya al-Quds group (meaning Jerusalem Brigades - the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad) claimed responsibility for shelling Jewish settlements in southern Israel.

The group's military communique, posted on its Telegram channel, says that members of Saraya al-Quds fired rockets at the cities of Otef-Aza, Sderot and nearby settlements on the border with the Gaza Strip.

"The resistance forces carried out this attack in response to the massacres of civilians that the occupation regime continues to commit. Several volleys of rocket launchers were fired at enemy targets," the document notes

As previously reported by the Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera, the Israeli air force struck a residential complex in the Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the enclave after midnight. In Gaza City, a multi-storey building and a nearby mosque were destroyed as a result of a raid.
