MOSCOW, February 23. /TASS/. The European Union banned the export of semiconductors and devices based on them to Russia, according to the EU Council resolution published in the Official Journal of the EU.
In particular, the supply of certain types of transistors, semiconductor converters, and other electronic devices made based on semiconductors, as well as transistors with a power of 1 to 500 kVA, and optical devices is prohibited.
The supply of certain chemical elements, electronic boards, and equipment for the production of semiconductors is also prohibited.
The new list also includes photo and video equipment, in particular TV and digital cameras, periscopes and underwater cameras. The supply of parts of electronic industrial equipment was also banned. Moreover, the new ban applies to the export of rhenium and derivatives of this metal.
