NEW YORK, December 29. /TASS/. Egypt has opened the Kerem Shalom crossing for humanitarian aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip, the NBC television channel reported citing Khaled Zaid, head of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society in North Sinai.
According to Zaid, 79 trucks have already been sent to the crossing to undergo checks before going to the Palestinian enclave.
Last week, Arab World Press reported that aid deliveries for Gazans were suspended through Kerem Shalom due to an Israeli strike on the Palestinian section of the border crossing.
