Slovaks cannot be made to hate Russia — deputy parliamentary speaker

Lubos Blaha also said that the visit to Roudnice was his first foreign trip after being elected as Deputy Speaker of the National Council

BRATISLAVA, December 4. /TASS/. No one will ever be able to coerce Slovaks into hating Russia, Deputy Speaker of the republic's National Council (parliament) Lubos Blaha wrote on his Telegram channel.

"In the Czech Republic, I said loud and clear: no one will ever force Slovaks to hate Russia. <...> I spent last weekend in the Czech Republic, [taking part in] a conference of [supporters of] left-wing organizations in [the town of] Roudnice (northern part of the Czech Republic - TASS)," he said. "When I said that Slovaks would not send weapons to Ukraine, I was interrupted by strong applause. It was the same when I said that we have not forgotten history and appreciate [with great respect] the sacrifices made by the Russian people in World War II," he added.

Blaha also said that the visit to Roudnice was his first foreign trip after being elected as Deputy Speaker of the National Council.
