Armed attack on foreign embassy thwarted in Baku — media

BAKU, November 17. /TASS/. Intelligence services in Azerbaijan earlier this month foiled an armed attack on the embassy of a foreign country in Baku, the Trend news agency reported.

According to the media outlet, earlier in November, an armed attacker tried to break into an office building on the premises of a foreign embassy in Baku to carry out a terrorist attack.

The news agency did not specify which embassy had been targeted.

Another Azerbaijani news agency, APA, said the attacker was apprehended at the scene. He is charged with plotting a crime and terrorism for religious reasons.
