PARIS, October 24. /TASS/. French President Emmanuel Macron plans to meet with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas on October 24 during his visit to the Middle East, BFMTV reported with reference to the French Embassy.
According to the report, the meeting will take place in Ramallah on the West Bank.
Macron will also visit Israel on Tuesday. According to the Elysee Palace, the French leader will hold talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
A humanitarian truce to deliver aid to Gaza residents is expected to be one of the main topics. Macron also plans to talk about issues of recognition of a Palestinian state and demand an end to the policy of creating new Israeli settlements, as well as a return to genuine peace talks, according to the French president's administration.
