MOSCOW, June 1. /TASS/. Explosions were heard in Kiev and the Kiev region on Thursday night, Ukraine’s UNIAN agency reported.

The Kiev city and region administrations said that air defense systems were activated.

Air raid warnings were issued on Thursday in Kiev, in the Dnepropetrovsk, Kiev, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkov, and Chernigov regions, and in Kiev-controlled districts of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). Explosions were reportedly heard in Kharkov.
