G7 foreign ministers to accuse Russia of using misinformation in their joint statement

The parties will again call on third countries to give up Russia’s arms supplies as well

TOKYO, April 12. /TASS/. G7 foreign ministers intend to accuse Russia of using misinformation for winning international support of its actions in Ukraine in a joint statement following the upcoming meeting in Japan’s Karuizawa, the NHK TV channel reported on Wednesday.

According to a draft of the statement obtained by the Japanese television, heads of G7 foreign ministries will again criticize Russia’s actions in Ukraine. The document will particularly focus on accusing Russia of using misinformation, the report said. G7 foreign ministers will stress the importance of access to accurate information, pledging to provide support in this area. The Karuizawa meeting participants will also confirm intention to maintain anti-Russia sanctions and promise to do everything for their full implementation.

The parties will again call on third countries to give up Russia’s arms supplies as well.

The meeting of G7 foreign ministers will be held in Japan’s city of Karuizawa in the Nagano prefecture on April 16-18.
