Stable state of world order is a thing of the past, says Kyrgyz prime minister

According to Akylbek Japarov, any crisis, "even a crisis as severe as we see now" is not only a trial, but also an opportunity to be taken advantage of

BISHKEK, February 13. /TASS/. The current system of world order is gradually losing its relevance, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov told the World Government Summit in Dubai on Monday.

"The relatively stable state of the world order system or the industrial phase of its development has exhausted itself. We are transitioning to another phase and this transition is naturally accompanied by a large-scale economic and geopolitical crisis," the press service of the Kyrgyz government quoted Japarov as saying.

According to him, the world is experiencing a global energy crisis and widespread inflation is literally breaking records.

"The slowdown of the world's second economy, China, which came as a surprise to many, as well as the slowdown of the US and Europe, and this alarming list of challenges can be continued almost indefinitely. Most analysts give disappointing forecasts for 2023, noting the high probability of a global recession," the prime minister said.

According to him, any crisis, "even a crisis as severe as we see now" is not only a trial, but also an opportunity to be taken advantage of. In this regard, the Central Asian countries now demonstrate the political will "to strengthen integration and cooperation inside the region, and this is one of the decisive conditions for the success of any initiatives on this track". "This is already clearly in evidence, just like the fact that a struggle has begun between major geopolitical players for the shaping of their macro-regions," Japarov explained.

In order to become "a worthy part of one of these projects," Central Asia must "upgrade its own vision of the future as integral whole. "That is what we are doing now," the prime minister stated.
