"That’s what we all want, an end to this war, in just and lasting terms," the US leader said at the White House on Wednesday following Washington’s decision to deliver US-made Abrams tanks to Kiev.

According to Biden, this decision was made within the framework of the collective West’s steps directed at helping Ukraine "defend its sovereignty and its territorial integrity." "That’s what this is about - helping Ukraine defend and protect Ukrainian land," he said, stressing that "there is no offensive threat to Russia. If Russian troops return to Russia where they belong, this war would be over today.".
