PARIS, January 22. /TASS/. French President Emmanuel Macron has promised assistance to Ukraine in the post-conflict revival.

"When it comes to [Ukraine’] revival, we will help," he said at a joint news conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. "We will help Ukraine in all spheres. We are committed to it."

He vowed that Paris and Berlin would support Ukraine as long as it is needed.

According to a statement passed after the meeting of the French-German council of ministers, the two countries reiterate their plans to offer much-needed assistance to Ukraine in the humanitarian sphere and in protecting the population in the wintertime.

Talks between Macron and Scholz were held in Paris on Sunday. Concurrently, a ceremony on the 60th anniversary of the interstate treaty between the two countries was held in the French capital and the 23rd session of the French-German council of ministers, which has been twice postponed due to the differences between the sides, was timed to it.
