MINSK, November 23. /TASS/. The joint meeting of the Foreign Ministers Council, Defense Ministers Council, the Committee of Security Council Secretaries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the session of the Collective Security Council of the CSTO on Wednesday adopted several statements by foreign ministers, including a statement on the issues of the reinforcement of the architecture of international and regional security and arms control, disarmament and nonproliferation, which had been developed at the initiative of Minsk, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said.

"The joint meeting approved a number of documents on pressing issues of the development and improvement of the CSTO, which were submitted to the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council. The meeting also adopted a number of statements by the foreign ministers of the CSTO member countries on the pressing issues on the international agenda including a statement on the issues of reinforcing the architecture of international and regional security and arms control, disarmament and nonproliferation, which had been developed at the initiative of Belarus," the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The joint meeting was held in Yerevan on Wednesday. Belarus was represented by Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei.

Later on Wednesday, the CSTO Collective Security Council is expected to hold a meeting in Yerevan. It is planned that the summit will be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Presidents Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan and Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan.
