Erdogan to Putin: grain crisis will be resolved — presidential office

In such an event, steps toward the resumption of talks will be encouraged

ANKARA, November 1. /TASS/. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, that he is confident that the situation around the Ukraine grain deal will be resolved, the Turkish presidential office reported on Tuesday after their telephone call.

"President Erdogan expressed confidence that if results-oriented cooperation on this matter (the grain deal - TASS), as well as on many other issues, is established, the grain crisis will be resolved through a constructive approach. In such an event, steps toward the resumption of talks (between Russia and Ukraine - TASS) will be encouraged," it said.

The Russian defense ministry said on October 29 that following a terror attack committed by the Kiev regime "with participation of specialists from the United Kingdom" against Russian Black Sea Fleet ships and civilian vessels engaged to ensure security of the grain corridor, "the Russian side is suspending its participation in the implementation of agreements on the export of food from Ukrainian ports.".
