ASTANA, October 14. /TASS/. A high terror alert has been introduced in Belarus, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko told journalists on the sidelines of the CIS summit on Friday.

"In the wake of the escalation, a high terror alert has been introduced. That is why, we have launched procedures with the deployment of the allied group of forces [jointly with Russia], which is basically comprised of the army of Belarus and complemented by units of the Russian Federation," Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian leader said on October 10 that the leadership of NATO and some European countries was considering options of aggression against Belarus, up to the scenario of delivering a nuclear strike. He said that Belarus and Russia were beginning to deploy a joint regional group of forces in the wake of the escalation on the western borders of the Union State.
