Vucic thanks Russia for supporting Serbia’s sovereignty

The Serbian president also expressed his hope that lasting peace will be established in Europe promptly

BELGRADE, October 11. /TASS/. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic thanked Russia for its support of Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty during the meeting with Russian envoy Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko Tuesday.

"President Vucic thanked for Russia’s support for territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia. Vucic also expressed his hope that lasting peace will be established in Europe promptly," the presidential press office said.

In addition, Vucic and Botsan-Kharchenko discussed issue of bilateral Russian-Serbian cooperation and exchanged opinions on the geopolitical situation. The sides discussed the issue of Kosovo and Metohija. In this regard, Vucic reiterated that Serbia adheres to the policy of peace and cooperation when solving standing issues.
